Hard at Work

Brady awoke from his nap to find his Daddy working on building a border for our blackberry bushes...
...so he got his drill...
and went right to work.

At times a hammer was needed too, and together they got it all done and looking great!

Rachel's 5th Birthday!

Rachel had a wonderful time at her birthday party. She wanted a "big girl bike" and to find it she and her friends had to go on a scavenger hunt...

the final clue led her to Daddy's truck.

Our friends Steve and Shelley were involved the clue was "he's a Dentist" and they had to discover who it was and then Steve would give them the next clue. Almost everyone was involved...

...even Brady got to be a clue. It was a lot of fun and the kids were running all over the yard. Bruce had it all planned out.

Rachel received lots of presents and she loved them all. She got the new Barbie movie...

...and the Princess and the Frog movie, along with matching nightgown and a Frog shirt.

She had lots of other great gifts: games, puzzles, princess Polly pockets, Barbies, a Webkinz, etc. Thanks to everyone who gave her such great things!

Blowing out her candles...
...and Grandma stealing kisses from Zach.

We also had an Easter egg hunt and guess who found the grand prize egg...

...Brady! Oh well, at least he'll love the ring pop inside!

Grandma Taylor out did herself again this year with another beautiful cake! Rachel loved it being decorated with Cinderella toys she could keep and play with. Thanks Grandma...it was great!

Rachel received some early packages in the mail she loved also...

...she's been celebrating all week! She always looks forward to presents in the mail!

And these were so cute of Zach I couldn't resist sharing them. He loves playing with this Elmo tool bench. I'll be in the kitchen and hear Elmo start to sing...then I hear Zach laughing and laughing. So cute!
Thanks again to everyone for helping us celebrate Rachel. She's so beautiful and we are so thankful for her. You all made her birthday very special!

Celebrating Easter

Baskets are filled...

and dressing up is fun...

(When Brady saw the girls in their dresses he told them, "you look like Cindellellas", and they did. )

But, remembering the real reason for celebrating Easter is what it's all about. Thank you Jesus for loving us. We are so thankful!

March Madness

This long, long, long, cold winter has made us all a little crazy...and when my kids saw 3 beautiful days of warmth and sun they went mad...

Zachary reallly disapproves of bows in the hair.

Brady shows off his funny face, but the winner of funny face competition goes to...

Lindsey, yikes!!! Have you ever seen such a thing? I can't wait to show this to her future husband!

Rachel's funny face!

Zachy's first feel of grass...

and the girls in their St. Patty's Day attire.

And, give the boy a cloudless day and he will dig, dig, dig!! With his "excabator"!

Mr. Sun, we hope you come back to stay soon!

Da Boys...

have been having a great time playing ball...

and taking rides together.

Zachary had apple juice for the first time and did great with his cup!

And the kids made their own personal pizzas. Brady is working on his dough before adding yummy toppings of cheese, cheese and more cheese.
Now, they are into popsicles since the 12 hour stomach bug has visited us. I'm hoping it will stay contained to one...but we're prepared...just in case!

Teething has begun...

for Lindsey! She lost her first tooth this morning. Yea! She was hoping it would just "fall out" and it did while eating toast this morning. She said" (gasp!) My tooth fell out!", and it had. So the day has been exciting and full of fun calling Grandma and telling Daddy at work. Wonder what the going rate for a tooth is these days...of course a visit is expected from the "tooth fairy" tonight.

She thought this view showed off the space the best, so per her request you get to see it too.

And here are a few other pictures of Charleston...

Bruce at the Battery...

The Edmonston-Alston house we toured ...

A few of the houses close to the water...

and Rainbow Row.

And one of the best views is the one from the driver seat of the van. When you look back at Zachary he is often peeping at you and grinning this one eyed grin. Precious! One of the four best things we've ever seen!

Zachary's first visit to Charleston

Charleston, SC is one of our favorite places to go. The city is beautiful and the food is the best we've ever had. It's nice that Bruce gets paid to come here. We've been to the market place, on the Battery and today we toured one of the homes here. Zach and I are standing on one of the 3 porches that over looks the ocean...amazing! After eating another wonderful meal for supper we came back to hotel and got Zach all snug in his jammies....as long as he has his paci, Pooh and a good book we're all set!
