It's Raining, It's Pouring...

Yes, another rainy day, although we did see this bright glowing thing in the sky a couple of hours this afternoon, I think they call it the sun. However, when the rain started this evening the girls were determined to continue playing outside. I found them with their heads under a drain spout and soaking wet. (And yes, Rachel is without pants from a mud incident earlier...there are some perks to living out in the country.)

Brady would have loved to be out there too, but was satisfied a little trying to be like his Daddy. Those are some big shoes to fill!

Awana's Night

Lindsey and Rachel received their Awana awards. Lindsey completed her Cubbies year and will move on to Sparks next fall and Rachel finished her first year of Cubbies. They have done a great job learning all their Bible verses this year.

My Little Cowboy

Brady decided since horsey rides were so much fun he would try out the cow...

I think he's going to like living out in the country.

Although not as much fun as riding cows; Dad, Mr. Hite and Bruce had a fun day putting the trusses on our garage, each weighing about 200lbs. Have you ever seen such mud?

Unfortunately, after placing this one, the next truss tipped over and Mr. Hite tried to catch it which gave him a very nasty slice to his hand. Bruce bandaged him to get the bleeding to stop, helped Dad put the last two trusses on, then rushed him to the ER for about 10 stitches. Hope you're doing ok Mr. Hite. Maybe it's safer riding cows.

More Rainy Day Activities

Brady doing his step aerobics...a boy needs his exercise when you're stuck inside on a rainy day.

Having a sack race...

and Daddy giving Brady his first horsey ride...what could be more fun?

Our Weekend

On Friday, after a morning of rain, the kids were able to get outside and burn off a little energy chasing bubbles. This was Brady's first experience with "buh-buhs"...

...and I think he liked them very much!

Saturday was soccer day again. Lindsey played great and the spectators tried to stay warm...

...and look enthused.

Lindsey gives a thumbs up after a nice kick!

Soon after the game it started to rain...again! But, a trip to Grandma and Pop-Pop's saved the evening.

And, on Sunday, another day of rain. At least Brady brightened our day by looking so cute all dressed up for church and Rachel in her "bootiful dress".

Brady and His Tricks

(OK, I'm going to attempt to put a video on here....so be patient.) Brady finally decided he would let me capture some of his tricks, from his imitation of a lizard to his silly sideways wave goodbye. After many days of trying to catch it on video I guess all he really needed was a full belly to be able to perform :).
